In Form Trainers

Peter Bowen has always had a lovely crop of Summer jumpers, and his good form has showed no sign of slowing since partnering up with son Michael Bowen. At the time of writing, the yard is operating at a 32% success rate, with his horses benefitting from the good ground. Many of his runners have dropped to an attractive mark over the winter months and they are now reaping the rewards, finding plenty of success on the sounder surfaces.

Clive Cox has enjoyed a fruitful spell over recent weeks with horses ranging from group level to low level handicaps. Operating at a healthy 27%, one of his stable stars Ghostwriter ran a cracking race in the Coral Eclipse finishing third, before James’s Delight took listed honours in Deauville winning the Prix Kistena. His versatility as a trainer is evident as he is able to provide winners for all levels of racing, highlighted with Bella Taslina winning a class 5 contest at Doncaster. Miss Stormy Night has been raised 10lbs for her latest success but is evidently progressive and may be able to cope with the rise in weight.

Daniel & Claire Kubler continue to enjoy a successful season and are operating at 40% over the last two weeks. Andaleep won a decent handicap at Windsor last week while they appear to have a couple of well handicapped horses who found the winners enclosure in God Of Fire and Siempre Arturo. The horse with the most potential of their recent winners is Accrual who looks a smart novice whose won two of his three starts. Many of these successful horses are re-appearing in recent weeks so keep an eye out for them or maybe add some to your tracker!

Finally, William Knight has had six winners from 20 in the last two weeks, and this could have been better, with many of their horses regularly finishing second or third. Continuing the theme of well handicapped horses, the best example from this stable is Blenheim Star, who has three wins from four in the last 45 days, seeing his overall rating rise from 51 to 69. Red Hat Eagle is another that seems ahead of the handicapper, having won his last two starts with relative ease. He holds an entry at Windsor on Monday and would be of interest if he is declared.
