After his first race saw 'Vinnie' unseat his rider, Richie McLernon, at the last, there was pressure heading into Monday 21st at Cartmel Racecourse.

With the Cartmel syndicate members in attendance, the RacingTV cameras on and the rain having died down, all eyes were on the home crowds horse to see if he could perform, and perform he did.

In the words of the RacingTV pundits, "You talk about football clubs being the heart of the community... This is what racing should be". The post-race scenes in the winners enclosure had half of Cartmel celebrating, and it led to some very exciting targets from trainer Ben Haslam...
