Online Betting Guide (OLBG) offers tipster forums and competitions. Their aim is to build a knowledgeable community of sports bettors who share their expertise and help others improve.
OLBG is now taking a step offline to build a community of racehorse owners alongside one of the UK's most exciting up and coming trainers: Harry Derham.
(Please note that there is no requirement to sign up to OLBG's service when you buy a share and that Picks Lad will appear in your MyStables account as per usual.)
OLBG are also offering a host of additional benefits on top of the usual prize money, stable visits and raceday experiences...
Picks Lad is by Westlake and out of the mare, Pic Of The Paddock. He is in training with Harry Derham in Lambourn.
Despite winning a NH flat race and a Handicap hurdle already, Picks Lad's potential has always been as a staying chaser.
He is a very likable horse with good strength and proportion through his body, an athletic build and a concentrated eye.
His sire and dam have only had a handful of progeny between them, but the pairing already seems to be a successful one.
Picks Lad is a two-time winner: once in a bumper and then again when stepped up in trip. His previous trainer - Kim Bailey - was confident that the step up would bring the best out of him and he was right.

Picks Lad battled well in both of his wins, showing that he's got a great attitude and suggesting he'll be very receptive to further training.
Harry Derham (former assistant to 13-time Champion Trainer, Paul Nicholls) is preparing him for a race this autumn and will provide Picks Lad owners with plenty of insight into his first full season training. Throughout, he'll be assisted by former Grand National winning trainer, Oliver Sherwood.
As Harry put it: "I'm really excited to be training for OLBG Racing and I think Picks Lad is the perfect fit. He's ready and raring to go, already has good form to his name and I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with him over the next few seasons".
An entertaining season of novice chasing awaits!
As an owner with OLBG, we want you to come racing, wear your horse’s colours and cheer them on. So, if you aren’t lucky enough in the draw for owners badges, we’ll enter you into a second chance draw for free or discounted tickets. OLBG will commit to spending up to £1000 on tickets every time an OLBG syndicated horse runs. The only condition to accepting your free or discounted ticket is wearing your OLBG scarf to the races!
Everyone who buys into an OLBG horse will receive 10,000 OLBG Crowns. That’s enough to get yourself a scarf in your horse's colours or if you already have an OLBG scarf you can spend those coins in the OLBG store on other merchandise or virtual goods. Get involved in the community at OLBG to mine more crowns and claim more goodies.
Is there anything you would really like to ask the trainer? This is your opportunity to join us for an owners-only Zoom evening with Harry Derham.
If you aren’t enjoying the experience of owning a share with OLBG Racing in the first two months, we will refund your share in full, no questions asked!
There are no other partners in this horse, so once 1750 shares are sold, 100% of the horse will be owned by shareholders.
OLBG Racing does not charge owners VAT. This means that there is no need to reclaim VAT and that a share represents a greater proportion of the racehorse.
At the end of the syndicate term any unspent funds are returned to owners pro-rata. These funds can be withdrawn or used against the cost of renewing or purchasing a share.
