SPACE BLUES won on his only start at two before embarking on a successful three-year-old campaign, highlighted by victory in the Listed Surrey Stakes. It was during his four-year-old season, however, that he truly reached his peak, capturing the Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest alongside further successes at Group 2 and Group 3 level. He returned the following season to add two more top-level victories to his already impressive record, landing both the Group 1 Prix de la Forêt and the Breeders’ Cup Mile. Over the course of his career, he won 11 of his 19 starts and amassed earnings of just under £2 million.
He retired to stand at Darley Stallions’ Kildangan Stud, where he was strongly supported from the outset. He has already made an excellent start at stud, headed by Group 1 winner Power Blue, who was rated by Timeform as the highest-rated juvenile by a freshman sire in Europe in 2025. He is also the sire of Do Or Do Not, who has been placed multiple times at Group 2 level, including in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. His progeny have been well received in the sales ring, with yearlings fetching €200,000, €190,000 and €170,000.
TAMAARA ran twice at two before retiring to become a broodmare, and she has already produced the five-time winner Mammami, who has also been placed on a further six occasions. She hails from a strong Godolphin family that includes Kabool and Harbour Watch, both of whom achieved stakes success before retiring to stud. Further back in the pedigree is the outstanding Dubai Millennium, champion three-year-old miler and sire of Dubawi.
She is by SEPOY, who was bred and raced in Australia, where he was a multiple winner at the highest level. He has gone on to become a successful stallion, siring the likes of Salute The Soldier and Alizee, both Group 1 winners. As a damsire, he has also been responsible for Group winners Steparty and Watchem Win.
