Fedneys Park is a very exciting 5-year-old mare, and Old Gold Racing’s first racehorse based in Ireland.
She was purchased at the Tattersalls Cheltenham January Sale for 82,000gns and is now under the guidance of the remarkable Henry de Bromhead.
As of February 2025, Mr de Bromhead has had no fewer than 23 Cheltenham Festival winners, including two Cheltenham Gold Cups, two Champion Hurdles and four Queen Mother Champion Chases. He also won the 2021 Grand National with Minella Times, ridden by stable jockey, Rachael Blackmore.
Fedneys Park won a competitive Point-to-Point at Carrigarostig by a comfortable six lengths earlier this year. Making all, she jumped with plenty of promise and caught the eye of many there that day. You can watch the video, below.
Fedneys Park’s sire, Walk In The Park, has really made a name for himself at stud, where he stands under the Coolmore banner. He has produced countless top level winners, many of which have had success at the major meetings. Some of his best performers include Douvan, Jonbon, Facile Vega and Min. He earned the title of Champion National Hunt Stallion for the 23/24 season.
Henry was particularly taken with Fedneys Park’s breeding (read more below) and feels she was “very well bought”. He loves the way she went about her Point-to-Point win in January and is convinced that “we’re going to have a lot of fun with her”. He added that "I'm delighted with her; we were really lucky to get her".
Fedneys Park is now in full training ahead of her Rules debut later this year. Mr de Bromhead will aim to run Fedneys Park on both sides of the Irish Sea, and owners will have the chance to attend some very special stable visits...

Henry de Bromhead took on Knockeen, Co. Waterford from his father, Harry, in 2000. His first Grade 1 winner came in 2008 with Sizing Europe, who would go on to cement his place in National Hunt history with an incredible further seven Grade 1s. In all Sizing Europe won 22 of his 45 races and earned over €1.8 million in prize-money, a testament to Henry's ability to source, train and place horses at the top level.
Henry is the only trainer to have won the Champion Hurdle (Honeysuckle), Champion Chase (Put The Kettle On) and the Gold Cup (Minella Indo) at the Cheltenham Festival in the same year, a feat he achieved in 2021. Just weeks later, he saddled the first two horses home - Minella Times and Balko Des Flos - in the Aintree Grand National.
Remarkably, Henry won both the Champion Hurdle (Honeysuckle) and the Gold Cup (A Plus Tard) again in 2022. Both horses were ridden by Rachael Blackmore.
There are no other partners in this horse, so once 4,000 shares are sold, 100% of the horse will be owned by Old Gold Racing owners.
Unlike other syndicates, Old Gold Racing does not charge owners VAT. This means that there is no need to reclaim VAT and that a share represents a greater proportion of the racehorse.
At the end of the syndicate term any unspent funds are returned to owners pro-rata. These funds can be withdrawn or used against the cost of renewing or purchasing a share.

Fedneys Park’s sire, Walk In The Park, has really made a name for himself at stud. He currently stands under the Coolmore banner at a private fee. He has produced countless top level winners who have had success at all the major meetings. Some of his best performers include Douvan, Jonbon, Facile Vega and Min. He earned the title of Champion National Hunt Stallion for the 23/24 season.
Fedney Hill was herself unraced but has been sent to some of the top National Hunt stallions in Walk In The Park, Kayf Tara and Blue Bresil. She is a half sister to three talented horses, who have amassed several wins between them, as well as a victory and multiple places at Graded level.
Fedneys Park’s damsire, Presenting, was champion sire on four occasions, producing multiple Cheltenham Gold Cup winners in Denman and War Of Attrition. His daughters have produced the likes of the Grade 1 winners Might Bite, Paisley Park and Captain Guinness. On top of that, when crossed with Walk In The Park, we have been landed with high quality horses like Gidleigh Park and Eabha Grace.
