Introducing: Fitz Perfectly

Fitz Perfectly is a striking 4-year-old dark bay filly by No Nay Never and out of the Rahy mare, Kalimenta.

She was selected for Fitzdares at the Doncaster Breeze Up sales by bloodstock agent extraordinaire, Anthony Bromley. He particularly liked ‘the lovely long stride on her’ and identified her as a top target because of her attitude and breeding.

Her sire, No Nay Never, stands at Coolmore and has a stud fee of €125,000. He’s a proven stallion, having sired 81 Group winners, including the triple Group 1 winner Alcohol Free.

On the other side of the family, Fitz Perfectly’s damsire, Rahy, has also sired multiple winners on the Flat, including the Godolphin-owned, Fantastic Light, who amassed more than £4.2 million in prize money over the course of his career.

Fitz Perfectly is in training with with Charlie Fellowes, who has enjoyed great success over the past eight years. He consistently sends out winners in the UK, France, Dubai, Australia and is a multiple Royal Ascot winning trainer.

Mr Fellowes feels that Fitz Perfectly ‘showed beautifully’ and noted that ‘when she galloped, she was straight as a die, head low to the ground. She really, really wanted to do it. She was a willing partner’.

Fitz Perfectly got off to a promising start with her 3-year-old campaign, when finishing a pleasing 4th at Chelmsford (AW). She then ran a very strong race to finish 3rd at Windsor but was unfortunately disqualified afterwards through no fault of her own.

We are hopeful that things are starting to click into place for Fitz Perfectly; she looks an absolute picture and is performing well at home. She has progressed nicely through her four-year-old season, twice finishing 4th and consistently running well on the All Weather. Charlie is confident that there is more to come from this nice filly now that we’ve got the tactics and conditions pinned down. This was proven by a solid placed effort on her most recent start at Ffos Las, where she finished 3rd.

We can now look forward to an exciting Autumn campaign, as she continues to work impressively for the team at home.
