Jamada is a strong and well-related 5-year-old gelding, who brings you the chance to own a racehorse with Grand National winning jockey and ITV presenter, Mick Fitzgerald.
Jamada is now in training with the hugely successful Olly Murphy, having been purchased by his father; the well-known bloodstock agent, Aiden Murphy, at this year’s Tattersalls Cheltenham April sale.
Jamada is already a winner of a National Hunt Flat Race, having got off the mark on his latest start at Naas. Moving well through the race, he and the runner up pulled clear of the rest up the straight. Jamada then showed a tough attitude and a powerful engine to get his head in front, beating a well regarded horse into second.
Clearly a progressive sort, Jamada certainly has the size and scope to make an impression over obstacles.
He is a son of Affinisea, who is the sire of the moment after covering a book of 382 mares in 2022. His top progeny over Jumps include Graded winners Only By Night and Sixmilebridge. He is also responsible for Al Wasl Storm, a winner on the Flat who went on to run in the 2025 Epsom Derby.
Jamada’s dam, Sounds Of Thunder, was herself a five time winner under rules, gaining victories on the Flat and over hurdles. She was a consistent mare placing in the first three a total of 15 times. Jamada is her first foal to run, meaning that she is currently at 100% winners to runners.
Her dam, Distant Music, is from the family of the Group 1 winning mare Dancing Maid and the ten time winner Desert Island Disc.
As a Damsire, Tobougg is responsible for the likes of Lumiere, winner of the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes, as well as other Group winners such as Apollo One and C’Est Magique.
Olly has loved Jamada from the minute he saw him at the sales. He told us that “we loved the physical and really liked his performance as well… we thought he’s a horse that could hopefully win plenty of races in England” and that “he’s been very straightforward and summered really well”.
Mick was quick to respond when offered Jamada because he feels that “he’s a lovely type, with real potential… the kind of potential you dream about!“.
Jamada looks magnificent after his summer holiday and the plan now is to prepare him for a season of novice hurdling.
Olly Murphy is the son of well-known bloodstock agent Aiden Murphy, and retired trainer Anabel Murphy. Having ridden as an amateur until 2014, Olly headed to Ireland to serve as Assistant Trainer to Gordon Elliot for four seasons, during which Don Cossack won the Gold Cup.
Olly then took out his own license and saddled his first runners in the 2017-18 season. Since then he has trained over 740 UK winners, including ten Graded race victories and a further four Listed successes. The team aims to continually improve the quality of the yard and have just enjoyed their best season to date with 141 winners.
There are no other partners in this horse, so once 2500 shares are sold, 100% of the horse will be owned by Mick Fitzgerald Racing Club owners.
Unlike other syndicates, Old Gold Racing does not charge owners VAT. This means that there is no need to reclaim VAT and that a share represents a greater proportion of the racehorse.
At the end of the syndicate term any unspent funds are returned to owners pro-rata. These funds can be withdrawn or used against the cost of renewing or purchasing a share.

Jamada is sired by Affinisea and out of the mare, Sounds Of Thunder.
Affinisea was purchased as a foal for €850,000 who went on to win impressively on debut for John Oxx. Being a son of Sea The Stars and being closely related to Soldier Of Fortune he was always likely to end up at stud.
He has become one of the most exciting National Hunt stallions in recent years, covering a book of 382 mares in 2022. His top progeny include Graded winners Only By Night and Sixmilebridge. He is also responsible for Al Wasl Storm, a winner on the flat who went on to run in the Epsom Derby 2025.
Sounds Of Thunder was herself a five time winner under rules, with success on both the flat and over hurdles. She was a consistent mare placing in the first three a total of 15 times. Jamada is her first foal to run, meaning so far she is 100% for winners to runners.
Out of Distant Music she is from the family of the Group 1 winning mare Dancing Maid and the 10 time winner Desert Island Disc. She is by Tobougg, who was unbeaten at two before being placed in the Derby the following year. As a Damsire he is responsible for the likes of Lumiere, winner of the Group 1 Chevely Park Stakes as well as other group winners such as Apollo One and C’Est Magique.
