Introducing Rine Yeats

Rine Yeats is a proper stamp of a National Hunt horse, bought by Highflyer Bloodstock on behalf of Old Gold Racing for £55,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham November sale. He was bought from the very same consignors who sold subsequent Grand National winner, Noble Yeats.

Rine Yeats made his debut at Bandon in March 2025, where he displayed potential despite his obvious inexperience. He was then given a summer to grow and mature into his sizable frame, which proved worthwhile upon his return at Rathcannon in November, where he won in impressive style.

A switch to front-running tactics brought out the best in him as he produced an exhibition round of jumping. Showing a determined attitude, he repelled his rivals one by one to score by six lengths, despite easing down at the finish.

Rine Yeats is by Yeats, a seven-time Group 1 winner, including four consecutive victories in the Ascot Gold Cup. At stud, he has been crowned champion twice owing to top performers including: Flooring Porter, Noble Years and Ginny’s Destiny, all winners at the Cheltenham Festival.

His progeny have won over £13 million in prize money and over one thousand races between them! Rine Yeats is the first foal out of the mare Izzygonnacatchher, who was a tough performer in point-to-points herself. She is from the family of Across The Bay who won eight of his 43 races including the Grade 2 Rendlesham Hurdle at Haydock.

Venetia has reported “”.

All the signs suggest Rine Yeats is a progressive, talented individual who combines presence, athleticism and a willing attitude. He looks the type to continue improving with experience and should provide his connections with plenty to look forward to as he develops under Rules.

About The Trainer

Venetia Williams has recorded the most wins by a female trainer in the history of National Hunt Racing. A model of consistency since getting her license, Venetia has maintained her position as one of the top ten trainers in the country throughout her career and frequently features in the top five. Starting from scratch with six horses, within three years Venetia was the favourite for the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Since then Venetia's training career has flourished. Never one to expose her horses to the high risk of summer ground, each year Venetia can be seen with the big Saturday winners in the middle of the National Hunt season. Throughout her career, Venetia has won many significant races but none more so than in 2009, when Mon Mome triumphed in The Grand National. She became only the second woman in history to achieve the accolade.

At the end of the syndicate term any unspent funds are returned to owners pro-rata. These funds can be withdrawn or used against the cost of renewing or purchasing a share.
