After four days of enthralling action, we have arrived at the final day of action from the Royal Meeting.
2:30 Norfolk Stakes - STAR PROSPECT (11/1)
Joseph O'Brien's yard is in excellent form, with five winners already this week, and STAR PROSPECT looks overpriced. He beat the well-fancied Carry The Flag on debut before finishing third next time in a race where a steadily-run contest played against his strengths. With three American runners in the line-up, a much stronger gallop looks likely here, which should suit him perfectly. He shapes as though he'll be doing his best work in the closing stages and, with the draw appearing far fairer than earlier in the week, stall seven holds no fears.
.
3:05 Hardwicke Stakes - GOLIATH (5/1)
GOLIATH returns to the scene of his finest hour, having landed the King George here in 2024, and arrives looking back to something close to his best after a Group 2 success last time. Crucially, he escapes a penalty for that victory and looks to have plenty in his favour.
Favourite Kalpana has questions to answer on quick ground, while Jan Brueghel comes here after a hard race in the Coronation Cup just two weeks ago. Ethical Diamond and Giavellotto can both be forgiven their defeats in the Sheema Classic, where very little made up ground from the rear, and French challenger Best Secret is another with solid claims after an excellent season so far.
It's a deep renewal with six Group One winners in the field, but Goliath's proven course form and recent resurgence make him very appealing at the prices.
.
3:40 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes - JOLIESTAR (2/1)
Australian sprinters have long set the global standard, and JOLIESTAR can provide another reminder of that in the feature sprint of the meeting. She arrives seeking a fourth consecutive victory this year, having most recently captured the prestigious TJ Smith Stakes in Sydney with a performance that confirmed her place among the world's elite speedsters.
The opposition is formidable. Satono Reve returns looking to go one better than his narrow defeat in this race twelve months ago and would become the first Japanese-trained winner at Royal Ascot if successful. The race also underlines Ascot's international appeal, with trainers from Britain, Ireland, France, Japan, Australia and Denmark all represented.
Joliestar sets a high standard, however, and looks the one they all have to beat.
.
4:20 Jersey Stakes - AMERICA QUEEN (22/1)
At a much bigger price, AMERICA QUEEN could be worth chancing in what looks a competitive renewal of the Jersey Stakes. She shaped with plenty of promise on her seasonal return in the Nell Gwyn, only being caught close home and beaten a neck after looking the likely winner for much of the final furlong.
While the form of that race may not be among the strongest on offer, her juvenile form gives her every chance. She finished second in the Group 2 Lowther Stakes and fourth in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes, proving she could hold her own against some of the best fillies of her generation. The stiff seven furlongs looks ideal and, perhaps most importantly, she possesses a tremendous attitude, never giving in without a fight.
Favourite Saber Strike is unbeaten and clearly respected, but looks short enough in the betting based on what he has achieved so far. Into The Sky is another interesting contender after running with credit in the 2000 Guineas, and the drop back in trip could unlock further improvement.
At 22/1, America Queen looks overpriced and could give supporters a big run for their money.
